RWPA is able to continue offering a program for everyone aged 5+ for the 2020/21 season. Yes, our training schedule looks different, yet the fee schedule below remains the same.
There are still many unknowns about the 2020/21 season. We do know that we must adhere to WPS’s Return-to-Sport document, provincial guidelines and facility regulations.
At the time of writing (Aug 31), RWPA is limited to 24 athletes at a time in the LAC deep tank, 19 athletes at a time in the LAC shallow tank and we have lost our pool time at the U of R (at least for the fall semester). You do not need to be an accountant to know that fewer kids in the pool and being unable to share the pool with other groups has a direct impact on our costs.
The COVID-19 situation is dynamic. For example, WPS is hoping RWPA can have up to 35 athletes at a time in the LAC deep tank in the not-too-distant future. They would also like to be able to offer some kind of competition should they not be able to hold traditional PL tournaments due to physical distancing restrictions. Of course neither of these possibilities are guaranteed, and if they are allowed, they may only be temporary.
In short, the 2020/21 season is a work in progress. The Board of Directors voted that RWPA will start the 2020/21 season using the 2019/20 fee schedule for our fleet programs. Club fees are dependent on many variables and are subject to change for the 2020/21 season.
RWPA fees must be paid in full before families can use fundraising credits to help cover travel costs. If you would like to put any fundraising credits towards your RWPA registration fees, please email our treasurer at email@example.com with the details.
