BORN 2009, 2010, 2011
Our semi competitive program is designed to introduce and transition our younger players to the competitive fleet program. However, exceptions can be made for older players new to water polo or unable to fully participate in the other program.
This program is a great opportunity for children to improve both their swimming skills and their game sense. It is ideal for children who have completed swimming lessons, but are not yet old enough to continue with lifesaving or life guarding classes. Your child will get the additional benefit of learning to be part of a team too!
Previously, semi competitive athletes practiced for three and a half hours a week at the university with our Admiral athletes on Wednesday & Sunday. Due to COVID19 restrictions, this is subject to change. In provincial league events & provincials, they will play in their appropriate age division only.
Team suits & shirts are not mandatory for semi competitive athletes, however they are welcome to purchase them.
Semi competitive athletes are not eligible to participate in Water Polo Sask’s development centre (DC) and are therefore unable to be eligible for TeamSask.
