BORN 2008, 2009, 2010
Our semi competitive program is designed to introduce and transition our younger players to the competitive fleet program. However, exceptions can be made for older players new to water polo or unable to fully participate in the other program.
This program is a great opportunity for children to improve both their swimming skills and their game sense. It is ideal for children who have completed swimming lessons, but are not yet old enough to continue with lifesaving or life guarding classes. Your child will get the additional benefit of learning to be part of a team too!
Semi competitive athletes practice for three and a half hours a week. They practice at the university with our Admiral athletes on Wednesday & Sunday. In provincial league events & provincials, they will play in their appropriate age division only.
Team suits & shirts are not mandatory for semi competitive athletes, however most purchase them should they move up to competitive during the season. You can select to purchase these items on the registration form and the fees will be added to your total.
Semi competitive athletes are not eligible to participate in Water Polo Sask’s development centre (DC) and are therefore unable to be eligible for TeamSask.
