What is a MO?

No, it's not who is MO.

MO stands for minor officials and we couldn't run PLs or provincials without them

During provincial events two minor officials, a game secretary and a time keeper, are needed for each game. If one ARMADA team is playing, our club is required to provide one MO. If two ARMADA teams are playing each other, our club is required to provide both MOs.

This responsibility is not a big time commitment, however it has a significant impact on both these events and our club. Games cannot be played without MOs. When MOs are organized & on time, these events run more smoothly. Volunteering to MO at these smaller events gives you an opportunity to practice and help you prepare to MO at NCL events. Most importantly, it demonstrates your dedication to the club as a parent.

MO training is currently only offered in the fall. It is an interactive four hour class. RWPA requires at least one parent from each competitive family be trained as a MO. You must complete the course before signing up to MO. Once you're trained, you'll receive a shirt and can sign up to MO on the Google Sheet.

Please Note: All MOs must be registered as a “Referee” with WPS on Goalline.

You too can get one of these coveted WPS Volunteer shirts! All you have to do is attend RWPA's Minor Official clinic on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. It will be held in the Sask Sport board room at Mosaic Stadium (doors are on the north side of the stadium, to the right of the Rider Store, go to the third level, through the glass doors and to the left). The cost to attend is $20. You can either bring cash to the clinic or send an e-transfer to rwpapayments@gmail.com.
