BEGINNER ADULT POLO / RECREATIONAL ADULT POLO
Both Beginner Adult Polo (BAP) and Recreational Adult Polo (RAP) are for those aged 18 and older. BAP & RAP participants are invited to play in the adult rec division at provincial tournaments. BAP & RAP is divided into two ten week sessions: fall (September to December) and winter (January to March). Participants can register for a single session or a full year.
BAP combines swimming with water polo skills and game play. It allows participants to have fun while promoting fitness, friendship and teamwork. Participants do not need strong swimming skills or even previous knowledge of the game! This is a great opportunity for parents with children who play to get more familiar with the game and gain an appreciation for what their children do in the water. Focus will be on building confidence in the water, acquiring water polo skills and learning the rules of the game.
RAP participants should have past knowledge of the sport or come from a strong swimming background. This is a great opportunity for former lifeguards, speed swimmers, synchro swimmers or triathletes to get back in the pool or layer on another aquatic sport. The Active-for-Life program combines swim sets, ball-handling drills and game tactics. The program encourages fitness, skill development and a little friendly competition.
Practice times are available under PROGRAMS > TRAINING SCHEDULE in the menu above.
